The caravan is our second home, and as such it is well equipped and maintained. The kitchen has a fridge (with icebox), microwave, gas stove, oven, and separate grill. There is a gas water heater, gas fire in the lounge, and electric panel heaters in all rooms. The main bedroom has a double bed in it, and the second bedroom has twin beds that can be put together to form a double bed. Additional sleeping capacity is possible in the lounge with a double sofabed. There is one toilet / shower room, although additional facilities are available nearby in the onsite toilet block.
We enjoy sitting out on the hammock enjoying the views and going walking in the mountains, but there is much more to offer here. On site, there is a convenience store, free book exchange, laundry room, information notice boards and a hairdresser (Diane says its one of the best she has come across). In the village of Bronllys (which has it's own castle), you will find a well-stocked Spar shop that is also the local garage and hardware store. The local pub is the Cock Hotel which serves food as well. There is also the lovely Honey Cafe (complete with gift shop) where you can get great food including fantastic deserts (obviously Jonathan's recommendation!).
Just half a mile away from the caravan, there is a leisure centre complete with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym. A mile further on is the market town of Talgarth which has more shops, pubs & facilities including a library and its own festival.
There is plenty to do in the local area, but if you feel like staying in the caravan especially when the weather is not so good, you won't be short of things to occupy your time with.
There is a large television with free digital tv / radio channels via satellite, together with a DVD recorder and a small supply of DVDs. During summer months there is also a hard-drive recorder pre-loaded with programmes / films and a Nintendo Wii games console with various games (removed in winter months), as well as a box of more traditional games. Plenty of garden furniture and some outdoor games are available, together with a large gas BBQ. There is also an idiot-proof gazebo (not always kept there sorry) that can be put up to protect from the sun or showers.
